The Faculty of LawThe Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified person to an Assistant Professorship in Private Law from 1 October 2024 for a fixed-term of two years. The person appointed will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, conduct and assist in supervising research, and participate in the general work of the Faculty.

The person appointed will: specialise in the field of Private Law, with expertise that includes the areas of Land Law, Equity and Trusts; demonstrate potential to lecture effectively and to carry out and publish research of the highest calibre; normally hold a PhD or equivalent qualification.

In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a supplement to the salary range stated for this role of up to 20%. Any such supplement would be awarded on the basis of a demonstrable history of outstanding achievement and an expected future level of contribution and is entirely at the discretion of the University.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years.
